The film screening is from 7:30-9pm\, followed by the first b2b performance between two Detroit dance music legends\, Eddie Fowlkes and Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale. \nAll proceeds from the event will be donated to 101.9 WDET Detroit Public Radio. In God Said Give ‘Em Drum Machines\, Director Kristian R. Hill and Executive Producer Jennifer Washington shine a light on the true Black origin story of Techno music in Detroit\, and we are very excited to share this inspiring\, immersive experience with Detroit techno fans from near and far. \n**This event is ALL AGES\, and capacity is LIMITED**

The Oscar-winning documentary film follows two South Africans’ pursuit to find their musical hero — beloved Detroiter Sixto Rodriguez. He was a musician\, songwriter\, singer\, lifelong Detroiter and friend to WDET. \nShow begins promptly at 7PM. \nTickets are $10.50. \nThe Detroit Film Theatre is located at the John R entrance of the DIA. \nAssistive listening devices will be available.
