SUMMARY:Ann Delisi's Essential Cooking: Hi O Farm
DESCRIPTION:The next installment of Ann Delisi’s Essential Cooking on August 10th\, OUTDOORS at HiO Farm in Detroit’s Core City. \nGet your tickets online! \n\n\n\n\nYou can join us for the next installment of Ann Delisi’s Essential Cooking at HiO Farm on Monday\, August 10th! Brought to us by the team at TAKOI and just over a mile away\, HiO Farm exists on an acre of cultivated land in Core City\, Detroit and functions as an ongoing conversation between farmer and chef. Each season is planned with Takoi and Spiedo in mind\, creating a close loop\, sustainable food system from seed to plate. This symbiotic relationship allows for product at its peak; it’s not unusual for a harvest to be done in the moment as the kitchen needs. In addition to growing for Takoi and Spiedo\, you’ll find HiO fruits\, flowers\, and vegetables at other area restaurants\, and the occasional pop-up farm stand. \nFor this special evening\, Chef Brad Greenhill will prepare a family-style farm-to-table meal featuring produce directly from the land you’ll be dining on. In addition\, we’ll be joined by Dave Bos of BOS Wine; a seasoned biodynamic farmer\, consultant\, and winemaker with deep roots in the wine industry. Passionate about farming and winemaking\, Dave’s mission is to create exceptional wine and inspire biodynamic and organic practices for future generations and we are thrilled to feature his wines alongside Chef Brad’s super seasonal family-style meal. \n************************************************************************************ \nDue to the nature of this event\, there will be no menu substitutions. \nSeating will be limited and family style. \nDoors open at 6PM. \nTickets are $300 and directly support WDET and HiO Farm. Ticket price includes food and a beverages.
