DESCRIPTION:Buy Tickets »\nJoin us for the next installment of Ann Delisi’s Essential Cooking at Lady of the House on Monday\, March 31. This special dinner will celebrate the conclusion of International Women’s History Month and feature a 5-course meal by Chef Kate Williams (Lady of the House)\, with pairings by Paulina Schemanski (Mabel Gray) and Mary Davis (TAKOI). \nAfter the original Lady of the House location closed in 2021\, the community was sure it wasn’t the last they’d heard of beloved Chef Kate Williams. The critically acclaimed restaurant was named a James Beard Awards semifinalist for Best New Restaurant in 2018 and the following year Williams’s name appeared on the James Beard Awards’ semifinalist list for Best Chef: Great Lakes. Lady of the House reopened in 2024 in a new location on Grand River Ave. in Detroit’s Core City neighborhood\, bringing back some of the restaurant’s long-missed greatest hits. \nPaulina Schemanski is the General Manager and Sommelier at Mabel Gray. She recently started the Mabel Gray Champagne Society in 2023. \nMary Davis is the General Manager and Wine Curator at TAKOI in Detroit. Ann Delisi’s Essential Cooking visited TAKOI in October 2024. \n**************************************************************************************************************** \nDue to the nature of this event\, there will be no menu substitutions. If you have a severe food allergy that needs accommodating\, please contact Lady of the House directly. \nSeats will be assigned to maximize space due to limited availability. If you’d like to be seated with a separate ticket buyer\, please contact Nicole Amine: nicole.amine@wdet.org. \nThere are two seatings for this dinner\, 5:00PM and 7:30PM. Please select which seating you’d like to participate in when purchasing your ticket. \nTickets are $250 and directly support WDET and the participating vendors. Ticket price includes food and a beverage pairing. Additional beverages will be available for purchase. \nLady of the House is wheelchair accessible.
