MIdtown Detroit Inc. Executive Director Focuses on New Center Development
Sue Mosey of MIdtown Detroit, Inc. says development in New Center area will be both residential and commercial.
Officials with the organization Midtown Detroit, Inc. are turning their focus to the city’s New Center Area. The group has purchased six buildings along Detroit’s Woodward Avenue.
Executive Director Sue Mosey says the organization was looking for an opportunity to make an impact on the area.
“These portfolio properties became available and we felt it was a very important set of buildings, it’s on the rail line,” Mosey says. “And we felt this was a good place for us to put some of our energy in over the next couple of years.”
Mosey says the area will be home to both residential and commercial businesses.
Midtown Detroit, Inc. merged with the New Center Council, the area’s economic development group, four years ago.
