TV Journalist Roger Weber Retires After 37 Years at WDIV

Roger Weber has covered 9/11, the Kevorkian trials and many other big stories in Detroit.

Roger Weber is retiring.  The veteran news reporter has spent the past 37 years telling the stories of Metro Detroiters on WDIV-TV.  That’s an unusual stretch of time for a broadcast journalist to spend at one station in this day-and-age.

Weber spoke with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn about his longevity in the industry and what attracted him to television news.

Weber will have a special story looking back at his career on Channel 4’s newscast Thursday night at 11.
