Group Seeks to Pair Disabled Military Vets with Tech Jobs
A group is looking for disabled military veterans in Metro Detroit to fill urgent need for wireless workers.
A national training company is searching for disabled military veterans in Metro Detroit who are interested in joining the wireless telecommunications industry.
Officials with the group Wireless4Warriors say their mission is two-fold: To help returning military veterans find jobs, and to help address what the group calls an urgent need for trained workers to deploy wireless communications equipment and staff facilities.
Group officials say Michigan is the first state in the nation where they are specifically targeting disabled veterans.
Those selected will be placed in a job, receive training and be in line for a future full-time position.
The program is open to any veteran classified by the government as disabled or who is eligible for that classification.
