Merchants Can Offer Discounts with Detroit New Parking System
Shoppers can now get discounts on parking meter rates from business owners through Detroit’s new parking system.

Businesses can now provide parking discounts through Detroit’s new parking kiosks. Customers will be given a five-digit code from participating vendors that can be used at the kiosks or in the parking app.
Park Detroit Spokesperson Jamaine Dickens says businesses can also offer discounts through a website.
“They would log on to our website which is www.parkdetroit.us and go to the merchant’s page and register there as a merchant,” Dickens says. “And there they can open an account and then begin providing discounted parking to their customers.”
Merchants would pay for the discounts using credit cards.
