Sen. Peters Defends U.S. Fight Against Terrorism
Michigan Democrat counters GOP criticism.
While the Republican presidential candidates may have different strategies to fight terrorism, they all agree that President Obama has not done enough to defeat the Islamic State and protect Americans from attacks at home. Tuesday night’s GOP debate was the first since the terrorist attack that killed 14 people in San Bernardino, California. Michigan Senator Gary Peters, a Democrat, tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller the White House is aggressively going after ISIS.
