Hunters ask DNR for regulation prohibiting the use of Chocolate
Michigan may follow other states in banning the use of chocolate for bear bait. A group of organizations that are part of the Michigan Bear Forum, including the Michigan Bear Hunters Association and the Michigan Hunting Dog Federation are asking the Department of Natural Resources for a new regulation following the State of New Hampshire which banned the use of chocolate for bait after four bears died of poisoning last year.
