Pothole Costs Pile Up
AAA study says bad roads cause $3 million in vehicle damage every year.
AAA says pothole damage cost American drivers $15 billion over the last five years, an average of $3 billion annually. The auto club says during that time, about 16 million people had to fix their cars due to bad roads. AAA Michigan spokesperson Susan Hiltz tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller one repair bill can cost hundreds of dollars.
