Dearborn Police Investigate Attempted Break-In at Arab American News
Reporters were finishing this week’s edition when two men hit door with a hammer.
Dearborn Police are searching for two men who tried to smash their way into the offices of the Arab American News Friday morning. Reporter Ali Harb says the staff was finishing this week’s edition when they heard what sounded like gunshots around 2:30 a.m. Harb tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller a surveillance tape shows the men hitting the door with a hammer. They were unable to penetrate the door’s thick glass. Harb says no one was hurt and the motive for the crime is unknown, but it won’t delay the publication of this week’s edition.
