D-DOT Hosts Public Hearings for Proposed Service Changes

D-DOT is proposing a new route connecting the suburbs to the city, and a route to Eastern Market.

The Detroit Department of Transportation is hosting public hearings all this month to collect input on proposed service changes. New bus routes include express service to Eastern Market…and a collaboration with SMART and the Regional Transit Authority to better connect the suburbs to the city. Neil Greenberg manages the Service Development and Scheduling Department at D-DOT. He spoke to WDET’s Bre’Anna Tinsley about the function of these new routes.
