Winter Storm Warning Issued for Metro Detroit
The warning includes Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Monroe, Lenawee, Livingston, and St. Clair Counties.
The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING.
Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Monroe, Lenawee, Livingston, and St. Clair Counties are affected.
The warning is in effect until 4 a.m. Monday.
The winter weather advisory issued for those counties on Saturday has been cancelled.
Forecasters say they’re expecting 6 – 10 inches of snow in the region by late Sunday night.
The heaviest snow will come between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. and could fall at a rate of an inch per hour during the late afternoon.
Area roads will be snow-covered and slick, making travel hazardous.
