MDOT Finishes First Part of I-75 Reconstruction in Oakland County

State to reopen all lanes between South Blvd. and Crooks

The Michigan Department of Transportation says phase one of the I-75 reconstruction project in Oakland County is complete. MDOT says crews will open all lanes in both directions between Coolidge and M-59 by sunset on Dec. 16. Spokesman Rob Morosi tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller workers started rebuilding the northbound lanes in August.The next phase will start in 2017 with the reconstruction of the southbound lanes and the realignment of the Square Lake Road interchange.
