Alleged Flint Airport Attacker Indicted
A federal grand jury has indicted Amor Ftouhi, accusing him of stabbing a Flint airport police officer in the neck.
A grand jury has indicted the man accused of stabbing an airport officer in Flint.
The suspect made a brief appearance in a federal court Wednesday.
Canadian resident Amor Ftouhi was is charged with committing violence at an international airport and a new count of using a dangerous weapon to interfere with airport security.
Officials say Ftouhi emerged from a public restroom at Bishop International Airport in Flint two weeks ago armed with a 12-inch knife.
He then allegedly stabbed an airport police officer in the neck while shouting “God is great” in Arabic.
Ftouhi repeated the phrase several times during his court appearance Wednesday.
The FBI says it is investigating the incident as a possible act of terror.
