Republican PR Pro Matt Resch on Roads Debate and Mueller Report

Resch joins Detroit Today with Stephen Henderson for an “Opposite Day” conversation about the latest political news.

Most weeks, Stephen Henderson welcomes a guest on Detroit Today who sees politics and the world a bit differently than he does to discuss the latest political news.

There’s plenty to talk about this week as lawmakers in Lansing and Gov. Whitmer debate ways to drastically increase funding for roads and other infrastructure.

Meanwhile, in Washington, Department of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen abruptly resigned over the weekend after she reportedly clashed with President Trump over his desire for a “tougher” immigration approach. And there’s plenty of debate about how much of the Mueller report on Russian interference in the 2016 election will be released to the public.

To help break down those topics, Henderson speaks with Matt Resch, president of Resch Strategies, a political public relations firm in Lansing. Resch is the former press secretary for Lt. Gov. Dick Posthumus during the Engler administration.
