Wright Museum Showing ‘Walk With Me’ Damon J. Keith Documentary

Stephen speaks with the producer and director of a documentary about the late Judge Damon J Keith.

When Judge Damon Keith passed away at age 96 late last month, the tributes to his career and life-long pursuit of justice poured out. His decisions in numerous high-profile Civil Rights cases changed the landscape for people who faced discrimination in America.

Stephen speaks with Jesse Nesser, the producer and director of a documentary focused on Keith that is showing today at the Charles H Wright Museum, titled “Walk With Me: The Trials of Damon J. Keith.” There will also be a panel discussion following the screening with some people who knew Keith well, and who were involved with the film. The event is offered in partnership with Detroit Public Television, the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at Wayne State University.
