Michigan voters helped Donald Trump become president in 2016. And even though he didn’t win the state, many Michiganders voted for him in 2020.
Now that Trump has been indicted, what do state voters make of him, particularly those that voted for him?

Bob Carey is a retired Navy captain. He voted twice for Donald Trump and grew up in Michigan, and went to Brother Rice High School in Bloomfield Hills. He says he voted for Trump twice because he wanted to limit the size of the government and because he felt Trump supported veterans most.
“I’ll tell you, in [Veterans Affairs] reform and our national security interests, he had really well-defined policies, and so that sort of attracted me to him in 2016,” says Carey.
