El Sayed’s campaign theme has been “money out of politics, money in your pockets, Medicaid for all.” He details that his plan is to make things more accessible. “What I want is a guaranteed health insurance program for every single person from cradle to grave, that doesn’t expire until you expire. It would be there without copays, premiums and deductibles. It is guaranteed for you. That is what Medicaid for all will mean.”
El Sayed goes on to say that individuals will have the ability to get an additional private health insurance on top of that but he says it wouldn’t be necessary.
El-Sayed faces Republican Michigan U.S. Senate candidate, Mike Rogers in the November midterm elections.
