Forum Brings Aviation Opportunities for Minority Businesses
A regional forum brings more opportunities in aviation to small and minority businesses.
Detroit Metro Airport and the Airport Minority Advisory Council are hosting the “Great Lakes Regional Forum” April 20 and April 21.
The two-day event will bring airline executives, government officials, and contractors together to network with small and minority businesses.
Sam Nouhan is Vice President for Procurement for the Wayne County Airport Authority.
“This particular regional forum will focus on exploring the many and varied way airports in the region work to comply with federal regulatory requirements to make contracting opportunities open and available to disadvantage business entities,” Nouhan says.
Nouhan says Metro Airport created about eight million dollars in contract opportunities for small businesses last year. The forum will be held at the Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport Hotel. On-site registration begins at noon today.
