Photographer, cook and author Melina Hammer teaches culinary fundamentals and recipes for young chefs.
A Detroit native is celebrating her new cookbook, “Kid Chef” with a hands-on culinary event at Eastern Market. Author Melina Hammer says her book features a variety of kid-friendly recipes, along with helpful cooking tips for aspiring chefs of any age. “Kid Chef” will be available for purchase at Eastern Market during a hands-on cooking event with Hammer and the Detroit Kitchen Connect Program Saturday, May 7, 2016, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
