Michigan Joins National Transgender Bathroom Debate with School Policy
The State Board of Ed’s move to support LGBT students brings transgender bathroom issue to Michigan.
The US Department of Justice is suing North Carolina over its laws requiring transgender people to use bathrooms that match their gender at birth. Meanwhile, Michigan’s State Board of Education has issued guidelines to public schools in the state that suggest schools allow transgender students to use bathrooms aligned with their gender preference.
