The $32 million project will introduce a new bus hub for the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT).
Mikel Oglesby, the city’s executive director of transit, says the new facility will have modern features such as wifi and chargers for electric wheelchairs.
“This is going to be something similar to what you see in the big cities where you walk in and there’s a big screen that indicates when the vehicles is going to be coming,” says Oglesby. “An opportunity to stay out of the elements.”
