This year’s Mackinac Policy Conference focused a lot on collaboration and innovation to fix Michigan’s stagnant population growth.

“It’s a lot of glamor and convenience. Those policy wonks love to have their occasional proms and this is just one of them,” McNamara says of the Mackinac Policy Conference. “Everyone gets together and people have their occasional press conferences, all the media are there and it just makes it easier for everyone to run around and hop from station to station.”
