Join us for Ann Delisi’s next Essential Conversation with legendary Motown arranger and trombonist, Paul Riser on Wednesday, January 17th at the Willis Show Bar. They’ll talk about his life, musical influences, and share stories about working on dozens of Motown hits during the label’s prime. During which, he arranged recordings such as, “My Girl,” “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” and “I Heard it Through the Grapevine” among many others. We’ll hear samples of those recordings and take your audience questions in Willis Show Bar’s beautifully intimate setting. It’s an honor to have Paul as a guest in this space, and we hope you’ll join us to hear about his incredible musical journey within and outside of Motown.
Tickets for this event are $100 and will directly benefit WDET and Willis Show Bar.
