NPR’s Invisibilia Hosts Join Detroit Today to Talk About New Season

Alix Spiegel and Hanna Rosin seek to bring elements of humanity into narrow focus with impeccable storytelling.

Invisibilia

This season of NPR’s show Invisibilia is labelled their “concept album” — where every episode explores a different concept that is part of the unseen forces that make us human.

The first episode is about emotion and the second is about reality. If these seem like big, confounding subjects, it’s because they are. But the hosts of Invisibilia — Alix Spiegel and Hanna Rosin — seek to bring these elements of humanity into narrow focus with impeccable storytelling and reporting.

They tell Detroit Today producer Laura Weber-Davis that they’ve always been interested in the forces that guide our actions.

You can hear the new season on Invisibilia on WDET on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. and 11 p.m.
