New CMU President Bob Davies On Push to Expand Presence in Detroit

CMU already has a network of satellite campuses in the suburbs as well as an office in Campus Martius.

Its main campus may be two hours north of Detroit in Mt. Pleasant, but Central Michigan University is looking to expand its presence here in the city.

CMU already has a network of satellite campuses in the suburbs as well as an office in Campus Martius. Now, the university says it’s doubling down with a new strategy to increase its reach in Southeast Michigan.

Just this week, the university hired a new executive director of Detroit outreach.

“This is a major part of the state and we want our alumni to be supported so they can support the community,” says CMU President Bob Davies on Detroit Today with Stephen Henderson
