Detroit City Council Rejects Proposal to Expand City Curfew for Minors
Detroit City Council voted against a measure to impose a curfew on youth during downtown’s River Days Festival.
Detroit City Council members rejected a measure today to impose a curfew on minors during the upcoming River Days Festival downtown. While the proposal for the River Days curfew did not pass, the council kept restrictions in place for the city’s fireworks on Monday. Council member Janee’ Ayers spoke with WDET’s Marissa Gawel after the meeting about why she voted against the curfew during River Days.
