Detroit Dog Rescue Takes In Animal Control Dogs

City is working with Humane Society to transfer dogs to groups that can find homes for them.

Detroit’s Animal Control center is working with the Michigan Humane Society to transfer dogs from the city’s shelter to organizations that can find homes for them. Detroit Dog Rescue took in 20 animals last week. Its Executive Director Kristina Rinaldi tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller after years of trying get dogs from the city, her group and others are now able to save animals that might otherwise have been put down.
