WDET’s ‘What’s So Funny About Detroit?’ Comedy Showcase – August

For the last time this summer, What’s So Funny About Detroit? is coming back to the gorgeous backyard of the Old Miami with host extraordinaire, Ryan Patrick Hooper (In The Groove, M-F, 12-3p).
A fresh six-pack of Detroit’s most talented comedians will take the stage on Thursday, August 28 to showcase what, indeed, is so funny about the Motor City. This month, we’re welcoming Lansing’s Nicole Melnyk to Detroit as our headliner. Nicole will share the stage with Alaina Bamfield, Madison Thomas, Andy Peters, Ree Ledbetter, Pat Sievert, Brooke Van Poppelen and Joe Aasim.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m., show begins at 7:00 p.m. sharp. We will do our very best to have you on your way home by 9:30 p.m.
This is an UNCENSORED comedy event. The viewpoints of the performers do not necessarily reflect those of WDET or Wayne State University.
This is a BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR and/or BLANKET event. When you get to the backyard, please set up blankets in the front, chairs in the back. There will be very limited on-site seating.
