- Opportunity: Gloden says the program offers an opportunity for writers who don’t have a way to publish their work, and many authors have gone on to more success. He explains the series tries to focus on unheralded voices within the State, but also on voices that will connect to a large audience.
- Writers Outlets: Lauchlan says Americans are very excited about media these days but finding a good way to print and promote books is still hard. He cites Detroit-born poet laureate Philip Levine as an influence and talks about the voices and stories of the city that inspired him.
- Also join Michael and more of series’ authors for On the Market: A Celebration of the Made in Michigan Writers Series today in Eastern Market.
