Muslim and Jewish Communities Come Together “We Refuse to be Enemies”

Event brings high school students of Muslim and Jewish faith together through essay, art contest

In the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris…An event at Wayne State University is bringing together unconventional allies. The public event is planned by the Greater Detroit Muslim Jewish Solidarity Council. It includes artwork and essays from Muslim and Jewish high school students who participated in a program called “We Refuse to Be Enemies”.  Sam Woll helped organize the event. She tells WDET’s Amy Miller that this is one example of an effort to close the gaps between cultures.
