Over the weekend the Detroit Tigers brought a piece of pro football history to the Metro region.

The team hosted a panel on women in sports that included the Arizona Cardinals’ Doctor Jen Welter – the first female coach in the history of the NFL.

Welter told WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter the fact she’s coaching a professional football team still comes as something of a shock to her.
