Perceptions of Detroit Continue to Improve
New survey shows 90% of respondents positive about what downtown has to offer but parking and crime still a concern
Attitudes about Downtown Detroit have apparently improved for the second year in a row. A survey released yesterday by the Downtown Detroit Partnership shows, among other things, 83 percent of respondents say their impression of Detroit is more favorable than it was a year ago. It’s the second annual survey. The Downtown Detroit Partnership is a consortium of business and community organizations. CEO Eric Larson tells WDET’s Amy Miller that of those who filled out a survey, 60% work in the city but most don’t live in the city.
