Jack White

Dig it: Detroit music icon Jack White, he of The White Stripes, The RaconteursThe Dead Weather  and the proprietor of Third Man Records, has released his first career-spanning compilation. It’s not a “Best Of,” it’s a survey of alternate takes, demos and new ideas. Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016 is a 26-track take on Mr. White’s song writing.

He spoke about it and more, recently, with NPR’s All Things Considered weekend edition guest host Ray Suarez.

Listen to it here.

But first!

Below you’ll find a couple must-watch videos, including a live acoustic performance (White’s first time doing it unplugged on national TV) on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon as well as the brand new video from one of the most acclaimed music video directors of all time, Michel Gondry, for the song “City Lights.”
