Snap Judgement Host Glynn Washington Takes Show On The Road

The ground-breaking public radio program is coming to Royal Oak Music Hall on December 9.

The show Snap Judgment — heard here on WDET — bills itself as “storytelling with a beat.”

Now, the ground-breaking public radio program is taking its show on the road.

Creator and host Glynn Washington is a Detroit native. He’ll be doing a live performance of Snap Judgement at Royal Oak Music Hall on December 9.

Washington tells Detroit Today host Stephen Henderson that his Detroit roots play a large role in the show.

“I think of Detroit and my new adopted hometown of Oakland as kind of being a third character in Snap Judgement,” says Washington. “About half of the stories we open the show with are actually based in Detroit or the region there.”

“(As) a story teller… (I) try very hard to unfold in the vantage point of the people we are looking at… getting a new perspective on the world… That’s what we can do with stories,” he says.
