Election Update: Clinton Email Probe And What Trump Means For GOP Down-Ballot

With just a little more than a week left until the election, it seems there are still plenty of twists and turns left in the presidential race.
News about the FBI’s new review of emails from Hillary Clinton has given Trump supporters some hope late in the game.
“The FBI director made this disclosure 11 days before the end of the campaign and said up front it’s not clear if any of these are related to the investigation or would change the FBI’s view of the case,” says Reuters reporter David Shepardson, who formerly covered Congress for the Detroit News.
“The FBI and the Justice Department… really strive not to do anything to interfere in an election. On the other hand, the FBI director… if he didn’t disclose this and Hillary Clinton won and it came out later, would Republicans have charged him with covering up and would the first part of her presidency have been spent going through, ‘why didn’t he disclose this?'”
