Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump told a crowd of thousands in Warren that this upcoming Election Day will be the most important they will ever cast a vote in.

Trump, on the campaign trail in Grand Rapids and at Macomb Community College, renewed his pledge to help the inner neighborhoods of cities like Detroit by curtailing immigration and redirecting federal funding currently used to fight conflicts overseas.

Trump said, “We are going to rebuild Detroit and we are going to rebuild Michigan. Gonna bring your jobs back. It’s time to put America first.”

Trump has made an effort to reach out to African American voters in majority black cities like Detroit.

And the Republican presidential nominee hit on a theme that has resonated among some in the Michigan electorate, again vowing to the Macomb Community College audience that he will protect U.S. jobs by renegotiating trade deals and penalizing companies that outsource work to other nations.

Trump added that the recent news that the FBI is again investigating emails related to Hillary Clinton means she will be too busy protecting herself legally to safeguard American workers.

“I’m gonna bring your jobs back folks. Hillary doesn’t have a clue,” Trump said. “And she’s gonna have bigger problems than bringing your jobs back, I tell you. But she doesn’t have a clue. She’s not bringing anything back. She’s the one that let them go, she and the group. They let them go.”

The crowd in Warren repeatedly responded to the GOP nominee by chanting “Build the wall,” ”Drain the Swamp” and “Lock her up.”

Trump was on the attack throughout his speech, charging that a Clinton Administration would be immediately involved in scandal.

He said, “If Hillary is elected she would be under protracted criminal investigation likely followed by the trial of a sitting president. Hey, this is just what we need, just what we need.”

Trump, who has held a flurry of rallies as Election Day approaches, also had to take a rest break in the middle of his speech in Warren.

He motioned supporter and former Indiana University basketball coach Bobby Knight to step in for him for a few moments, before Trump resumed his address to the crowd.
