Too Hot To Handel: 15 Years of “The Messiah” Reimagined in Detroit
One Night Only: The Detroit Opera House and the Rackham Choir the 15th anniversary of “Too Hot To Handel”
The annual jazz-gospel version of Handel’s classic “Messiah” has become a Detroit tradition, combining Motor City-inspired jazz and gospel while weaving in blues, swing, classical and more.
Detroit’s oldest chorale group, the Rackham Choir is teaming-up again with the Michigan Opera Theatre to present the 15th anniversary performance of Too Hot To Handel this Saturday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Detroit Opera House with the power and emotion of more than 120 musicians.
