The music venue Fillmore Detroit is back open after four months of renovations.
Originally opened in 1925 as a movie house, the renovations have brought some of these historic elements back to life.
WDET’s Ryan Patrick Hooper speaks with Detroit News reporter Melody Baetens about the restorations.
Baetens says when people walk in they will see new carpet, a new chandelier, and a new bar area.
“But you’re really going to notice (the renovations) when you look at the stage,” says Baetens. “It’s brighter. The ceiling has been restored. It’s totally gorgeous.”
