‘Puppy Dog Bouncin’ is the Cutest Video of the Year (So Far)

The first viral video of 2020 is here… and it’s adorable.

Behold the first viral moment of the year — the infectiously cheerful “Puppy Dog Bouncin (In The Box)” song and video.

Created by rapper and producer RxCKSTxR, the feel-good meme has been taking the internet by storm since January 4th when the video started making the rounds on Twitter and Instagram.

CultureShift’s Ryan Patrick Hooper got ahold of the video’s elusive creator on Tuesday mere days after his video bounced into our hearts.

He would only reveal that he’s a late-20-something from Dallas named Bobby. He says he struggled to find a foothold in the music industry as a rapper and writer and opted to follow his passion.

“I basically just said, ‘You know what? I’m going to do the two things I love to do,” says RxCKSTxR. “I love cracking jokes. I do it with my friends all the time. I love making music. So I just started making my account about that.”

So why a puppy dog bouncin’?

“When I started looking at the puppy dog video, I was like ‘Man, he’s on beat actually. He’s actually bouncing on beat!’ So I was like ‘You know what? Let me put a beat to it.’”

And the rest is history.
