Elissa Slotkin Wins Reelection in 8th Congressional District

Rep. Elissa Slotkin will retain her seat in the U.S. after facing Republican challenger Paul Junge.

Rep. Elissa Slotkin

Incumbent Democrat Elissa Slotkin has won reelection to the U.S. House in Michigan’s 8th Congressional District. She faced Republican challenger Paul Junge.

Slotkin says her supporters are tired of the image of the two political parties shouting at each other.

“Our campaign is made up of people who put partisanship aside and supported a democrat sometimes for the first time. It’s a campaign built on bipartisan accomplishments. And we have worked every single day to show the same civility and decency and respect that you practice in your own life,” says Slotkin.

Slotkin was first elected to Congress in 2018 when she defeated Republican incumbent Mike Bishop.
