Dating advisor offers safety tips for Black women in new book
Detroiter Tinisha Brugnone’s upcoming book, “Pimpette Chronicles,” covers the complexities of modern-day dating.
Dating in the modern world continues to change as time moves forward. It’s simply more complicated. With social media and virtual dates, it’s become difficult to discern what to do meeting new people.
Tinisha Brugnone is a Detroiter, a Wayne State graduate and a dating advisor. She’s getting ready to release her new book this fall.
“Pimpette Chronicles: A Modern Black Women’s Guide to Dating Safely and Navigating These Mean Streets” follows the dating scene specifically for Black women and the challenges they’ve faced.
Brugnone joins CultureShift to talk about how to date safely and ethically without causing harm to yourself or others.
“You are only going to run into maybe a handful of compatible mates within your life. And so in the book, I try to help guide women so that they don’t overlook them, and also prepare them for those types of men once they come into their life.” — Tinisha Brugnone, author
