Iconic Motown Museum Looks to Expand

The Motown Museum, home of Hitsville USA, launches $50 million expansion including facilities for making new music.

Officials with Detroit’s Motown Museum say they are preparing to expand the location that includes the music labels’ original studio, Hitsville U.S.A.

The $50 million project is designed to create a new 50,000 square foot entertainment complex.

The Motown Museum’s CEO, Robin Terry, tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter the historic nature of the music demands a larger stage.
