Canadians Question Safety of Ambassador Bridge; Tell U.S. to Take More Responsibility

Transport Canada asks bridge owners to make repairs and check safety

The government of Canada recently forced the owners of the 88-year old Ambassador Bridge to make safety improvements. Transport Canada directed the Detroit International Bridge Company to deal with crumbling curbs and rusted railings. As WDET’s Amy Miller reports officials in Canada say they’re doing their part to keep the bridge safe but some question whether the U.S. is doing its part.
