Voted Absentee but Changed Your Mind? In Michigan You can Change Your Vote

In battlegrounds Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin those who cast an absentee ballot can change their vote later.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is telling those who have already cast an absentee ballot to change their vote if they’ve changed their minds.

And in Michigan and certain other states, including the political battlegrounds of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, a voter can void his or her absentee ballot.

The rules and deadlines vary by state.

At a recent rally in Wisconsin Donald Trump said anyone who voted absentee for Hillary Clinton but now has what he called “buyer’s remorse” should get a new ballot and vote for him instead.

Michigan Secretary of State spokesperson Gisgie Gendreau tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter someone voting absentee has until late in the afternoon the day before Election Day to make a change.
