Author, Historian Heather Ann Thompson Talks Winning Pulitzer in 2017

Thompson’s book about the Attica Prison uprising of 1971 ‘Blood in the Water’ won the Pulitzer Prize for history.

In April this year, author and historian Heather Ann Thompson won the Pulitzer Prize for her chilling re-telling of the Attica Prison uprising of 1971 in her book, “Blood in the Water.” Thompson is a professor of African American history at the University of Michigan.
