“The Third Murder” Brings Gripping Japanese Crime Cinema to the Detroit Film Theatre

This weekend, the Detroit Film Theatre will be screening The Third Murdera Japanese murder mystery from acclaimed filmmaker Hirokazu Koreeda.

CultureShift’s Ryan Patrick Hooper speaks with DFT curator Elliot Wilhelm about the film.

“(The Third Murder) is a real change of pace for Koreeda,” says Wilhelm. “He decided to try a different genre for the first time in his career.”
