Michigan Officials Continue to Gather Information, Plan for I-375 Revamp
The I-375 renovation promises to turn an interchange into a boulevard and incorporate community feedback.
In 2013, conversations around the city of Detroit and state began to discuss the removal of Interstate 375 and new ways to improve the area.
Rob Morosi is a spokesperson for Michigan Department of Transportation. He spoke with WDET’s Tia Graham about the removal of the 375 and how the area could better serve residents.
“It’s gonna take an extensive study process,” Morosi says. “It’s not something that can be done on a whim, to change an interstate freeway system into a boulevard, so it’s a very complex issue.”
