Strictly Fine performs a high-energy set in WDET’s live studio
The 7-piece funk ensemble joined CultureShift to play a few songs, share a few stories and have a few laughs.

It’s not everyday that you hear such an energetic musical performance on public radio. Strictly Fine is a 7-piece funk ensemble who describes themselves as “a well-oiled Funk Machine Grande Supreme, double dipped in a vat of funk acid and served with chicken sandwiches and Mario Kart.”
The ensemble consists of Rick Enrico Morrone on bass, Sean Perlmutter on drums and cymbals, Eric Childress II on additional drums, Garret Gaina on saxophone, Dave Vessella on trumpet, Chris Kendall on vocals and Mike Harrison on keys and guitar.
The group joined CultureShift in-studio to chat about their musical journey so far and play a few groovy tunes.
